Welcome to
SynthTemple
Now Open for Synth Pod Bookings at Introductory Prices. Full launch in early 2025.
Set in a heritage-listed Art Deco former Motor Works and Bus Depot, the SynthTemple complex is an exciting new music facility containing 2 Dolby Atmos studios (Studio 1 – Synth Hall and Studio 2), Solo Room (which doubles as a third studio), Tech Workshop, a spectacular and growing Gear List, including one of the largest working collections of vintage synthesizers in the world.
The versatile studios can be used separately for writing, recording and production, or can be used in a traditional live room+vocal booth+control room format for recording larger scale projects, such as bands and ensembles.
SynthTemple’s size and stunning aesthetic also makes it ideal for live events, livestreams and product launches.
Why SynthTemple?
The vast majority of new music is being created in bedrooms and small studios in the box using soft synths and plugins and, as a result, a lot of that music can sound generic.
At the same time, many of the classic vintage synths have become prohibitively expensive and disappeared into top artists’ own collections and, while immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos™ sound incredible and open up entirely new avenues for creativity, immersive rooms with 11+ speakers are also incredibly expensive to fit out for individual artists.
SynthTemple is a space that inspires artists and producers to create new and original music using the best of the old and the new, with access to one of the world’s largest working vintage synth collections and two immersive audio rooms.
SynthTemple is a destination for Australian and international producers and artists, who want to create, produce and record in a space that inspires with the best possible equipment and people.
Connecting over 150 keyboards and 80 pieces of outboard equipment so that all can be played immediately with minimal latency and a whisper quiet noise floor was no mean feat. It took years of planning and utilises over 5km of hidden cabling, including the latest in network audio and MIDI.

Create. Different.
